Why the shuttle?
We want to ensure safe and efficient transportation to and from the venue. All wedding guests will park at the Smoky Mountain Ziplines if not picked up at Parkside Resorts. You will then be shuttled up to the venue. There is NO parking available at the venue itself.
Is there a dress code?
Yes, we ask that you please dress Semi-Formal for the event. This includes suits, dresses, dress pants and sport coat, ties, etc. There are no color requirements.
Where should I stay?
Pigeon Forge is a large tourist area with lots of accommodations available, you can find lots of recommendations on the Details tab. The couple will be staying at Parkside Resorts in the “Bee Chillin Bear Inn”. If you would also like to stay at Parkside Resort, call 888-908-6066 and let them know you’re with the Garman/Ashley wedding to receive 10% off! By staying at Parkside Resort, you will be picked up by shuttle on the day of the wedding. Gatlinburg while appearing close on the maps, is outside the range which the shuttles will travel the day of the wedding. Sevierville is another good option, but also outside the range of the shuttle.
Is anyone allowed to attend the rehearsal?
Please let us know in advance if you’re outside the wedding party and would like to come to the rehearsal.
Is the couple accepting gifts?
James and Josh sincerely appreciate your consideration in attending their wedding. They recognize the challenges posed by a weekday destination wedding for their guests, as well as the rising costs of accommodations. Their primary focus is to share this special moment with their closest family and friends in a picturesque setting as they exchange their vows. In light of this, they have chosen not to explicitly request gifts. Your presence is the most meaningful gift they could receive. However, if you wish to contribute, they kindly invite you to consider supporting a specific aspect of the wedding, such as the DJ, catering, florals…etc.
How long should we stay?
As long as you want! James, Joshua, and most of the wedding party will be arriving at Parkside Resort on Tuesday Oct 22 and staying until Sunday Oct 27th.
How do we get there?
If you’re coming by plane, you’ll want to fly into McGhee Tyson Airport (TYS) and rent a car to drive about 35 miles into Pigeon Forge. If you’re coming by car, it is roughly an 8 hour drive from the Indiana/Michigan line and about the same from Jacksonville, Florida.
